U.S. Representative Linda Sánchez, who serves California’s 38th district, has recently addressed several national policy issues on her social media platform.
On January 7, 2026, Sánchez commented on an incident involving federal immigration authorities: “ICE shooting and killing a woman in Minnesota is further proof that ICE is creating chaos and fear in our communities. State and local officials have stated they don’t want you there. This is why. More lives will be at risk until Trump’s war on immigrants ends.”
The following day, January 8, 2026, she discussed legislative developments in health care policy: “House Democrats just delivered for working families across the country. 17 Republicans joined us in passing legislation to extend the ACA tax credits. Now it’s up to the Senate to finish the job and protect health care and lower costs for working families.”
On January 9, 2026, Sánchez announced an initiative regarding federal funding for childcare: “I led 41 California Democratic colleagues in calling on the Trump administration to restore $10 billion in childcare funding illegally frozen without cause. Children should not be political pawns, and I won’t stand for it.”
Linda Sánchez has represented California’s 38th district in Congress since 2003 after succeeding Steve Horn (source: https://bioguide.congress.gov/search/bio/S001156).
