U.S. Representative Linda Sánchez, who has represented California’s 38th district since 2003, recently posted a series of updates on her social media account addressing both local community events and key national issues.
On May 13, Sánchez highlighted her participation in a community event, writing, “Loved seeing everyone out at Santa Fe Springs’ 80s-themed 5K this weekend! The outfits were amazing, the energy was great, and it was such a fun way to bring everyone together.”
The following day, she addressed foreign policy matters and legislative action. On May 14, Sánchez stated: “I just voted to stop Trump’s illegal war in Iran. Once again, Republicans blocked us. But Democrats are not done. We will keep fighting to end this war that is wasting billions of dollars and driving up prices on everything from gas to groceries.”
Later that same day, Sánchez discussed international relations regarding Taiwan’s status at a recent World Trade Organization conference: “.@RepAdrianSmith, @RepJudyChu & I led 26 bipartisan members demanding answers over Taiwan’s exclusion from the recent WTO conference. Our message is clear: the U.S. stands united against China’s efforts to isolate Taiwan.”
Sánchez has served in Congress since replacing Steve Horn in 2003 and represents constituents from California’s 38th district. She was born in Orange, California in 1969 and currently resides in Whittier. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley (1991), and a Juris Doctor from UCLA (1995).
