Rep. Linda Sánchez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 38th district since 2003, posted several updates on her official X account this week addressing legislative developments and local community matters.
On November 12, Sánchez commented on the swearing-in of Adelita and referenced the ongoing calls for transparency regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s records: “After 7 weeks, it’s about damn time Adelita was sworn in. Now release the Epstein files.”
Later that day, Sánchez notified constituents about changes to her scheduled events due to a federal government shutdown: ” Reminder: Senior Fair Cancelled
Due to the federal government shutdown, my annual Senior Fair scheduled for Nov 13 in Pico Rivera is cancelled.
My office remains open and ready to assist seniors with resources and services, please don’t hesitate to call (562) 860-5050″ (November 13).
In another post early on November 13, she addressed her vote against a Republican-led government funding bill: “I voted against the Republican government funding bill because it fails to protect the health care subsidies that prevent premiums in my district from doubling.”
Sánchez has represented California’s 38th District since replacing Steve Horn in 2003. Born in Orange, California in 1969 and currently residing in Whittier, she holds degrees from UC Berkeley (BA) and UCLA (JD).
