Rep. Linda Sánchez, who has represented California’s 38th district in Congress since 2003, recently addressed a range of important issues through her Twitter account. Sánchez, who was born in Orange, California, in 1969, currently resides in Whittier. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, Los Angeles, Sánchez continues to leverage her platform to advocate for dignity, economic responsibility, and honor historical resilience.
On April 29, 2025, Sánchez emphasized her commitment to equality as a vice chair of the Equality Caucus. She expressed pride in standing with colleagues in support of the Equality Act, emphasizing that “no one should be denied services or opportunities because of who they are.”
Following this, on April 30, 2025, Sánchez voiced her concern about the economic policies of President Trump. She stated that President Trump had “inherited a strong economy” but, within 100 days, his “reckless trade wars” had brought the country “dangerously close to another Republican recession.” Sánchez announced her legislative efforts to curb these trade policies by introducing a bill that would restore Congress’s authority on tariffs.
Later on the same day, Sánchez reflected on historical events, marking the 50th anniversary of the fall of Saigon on April 30, 2025. She recognized it as a pivotal moment that ended the Vietnam War and initiated a new chapter for many. Sánchez paid tribute to the resilience and journey of many refugees, particularly those who began their new lives in Southern California, as part of the commemorative event known as Black April.
Linda Sánchez’s continued advocacy reflects her dedication to addressing issues that impact both her constituents and broader national interests.
