Rep. Linda Sánchez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 38th district since 2003, has recently voiced her concerns over several issues through social media posts. Her tweets reflect pressing matters ranging from political accountability to celebrating achievements in sports.

On February 3, 2025, Rep. Sánchez expressed alarm regarding what she perceives as President Trump’s decision to hand over governmental control to Elon Musk. She described this action as “a direct attack on our democracy” and urged Congress not to remain passive while democratic institutions are potentially compromised by billionaires.

Two days later, on February 5, 2025, Rep. Sánchez addressed the influx of public concern directed at her office regarding Musk’s alleged involvement in government systems. She stated that “your personal data shouldn’t be in the hands of an unelected billionaire.” Sánchez assured constituents that Democrats are actively working to safeguard privacy and hold accountable those who threaten it.

Also on February 5, Rep. Sánchez took a moment to acknowledge National Girls and Women in Sports Day with a tweet celebrating female athletes’ contributions and resilience. She encouraged continued efforts to “inspire, empower, and break barriers together.”
