Linda Sánchez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 38th district since 2003, recently shared her thoughts on social media regarding various political and personal matters. Sánchez, who succeeded Steve Horn in Congress, was born in Orange, California in 1969 and resides in Whittier. She holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and a JD from UCLA.

On May 14, 2025, Sánchez expressed her disapproval of recent legislative actions by Republicans on the Ways and Means Committee. “While you were sleeping last night, Ways and Means Republicans forced through their #GOPTaxScam,” she stated. According to Sánchez, the bill is filled with benefits for billionaires while failing to alleviate the economic impact of President Trump’s tariffs on working families and small businesses.

The following day, May 15, 2025, Sánchez acknowledged Representative Lou Correa’s tribute to her mother. “Thank you @RepLouCorrea for the heartfelt tribute to my mother – an incredible woman,” she wrote. Her mother was a proud Mexican immigrant who pursued higher education at night while raising seven children to become a teacher.

On May 16, 2025, Sánchez commented on promises made by President Trump concerning taxation policies. “President Trump promised: No tax on tips, overtime, or Social Security,” she noted while encouraging followers to watch Representative Tom Suozzi’s examination of the contents of the GOP tax bill.

Linda Sánchez has been serving in Congress since replacing Steve Horn in 2003. She was born in Orange County and lives in Whittier.
