Rep. Linda Sánchez, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 38th district since 2003, has recently taken to social media to express her views on several key issues. Born in Orange, California in 1969 and currently residing in Whittier, Sánchez holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and UCLA.

On May 6, 2025, Rep. Sánchez addressed comments made by former President Donald Trump regarding trade relations with Canada. She highlighted a discrepancy between Trump’s statement and actual trade statistics: “Trump: We don’t do much business with Canada. Reality: Canada is the number one market for U.S. exports.”

The following day, May 7, she criticized the GOP tax plan citing potential impacts on healthcare coverage for Americans. According to Sánchez’s tweet referencing data from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), “Millions of Americans would lose their health insurance under the GOP tax scam… All to give billionaires another tax cut they don’t need.”

Later that same day, Rep. Sánchez expressed solidarity with AFGE National against efforts by Trump and Elon Musk aimed at reducing public services such as Social Security and veterans’ care during Public Service Recognition Week: “I stand with @AFGENational in the fight against Trump and Elon Musk’s attempts to dismantle the critical services that we all rely on – including Social Security, veterans’ care, and safe food and water.”
