Representative Linda Sánchez recently shared her reflections on the 2025 Congressional Art Competition through a series of tweets. In a tweet posted on May 2, 2025, Sánchez stated that “This year’s Congressional Art Competition was a huge success! Thank you to all the talented young artists and dedicated teachers who made this event so special. Your creativity and hard work truly shine.” Sánchez applauded the collaborative efforts that made the event significant.
Another tweet from the same day conveyed Sánchez’s special recognition for the winners of the competition, “Special congratulations to our winners: •Julian Acero •Kenna Dutil-Baker •Angela Shih •Lyon Shan •Jade Barrera Sanchez Your artwork is truly amazing!” She highlighted the individual achievements of these young artists.

Sánchez, born in Orange, California, and now residing in Whittier, has a longstanding career in Congress and is also an alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, Los Angeles.
