Rep. Linda Sánchez, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 38th district, has recently expressed concerns through her social media platform regarding various actions attributed to Elon Musk. These concerns span several key areas, including accountability in governmental operations and potential threats to personal privacy.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Sánchez commended her colleagues from the Ways and Means Committee for their efforts to hold Elon Musk accountable for his alleged takeover of the Treasury Department. She emphasized that attempts to silence them with derogatory terms would not succeed and stressed that “the American people deserve answers.” “Proud to see my fellow Ways and Means women @RepJudyChu & @RepGwenMoore demand accountability for Elon Musk’s takeover of the Treasury Department.”

Later that day, Sánchez highlighted what she described as illegal actions by Musk aimed at undermining federal agencies and attacking their employees. She stated these efforts were an assault on democracy itself, reinforcing her stance on protecting national integrity: “Elon Musk’s illegal efforts to shut down federal agencies and attack their employees are designed to erode our nation’s foundation.”

On February 6, 2025, Sánchez addressed concerns about privacy invasions by Musk, who she referred to as “Shadow President.” She warned about potential threats posed by his access to sensitive information such as social security numbers and health records. Emphasizing bipartisan action, she urged Republicans to join Democrats in combating these issues: “Shadow President Elon Musk has his sights on Medicare and Medicaid.”
