In a tweet posted at 15:58 UTC on November 5, Sánchez stated: ” Senior Fair Cancelled
Due to the federal government shutdown, my annual Senior Fair on Nov 13 in Pico Rivera is unfortunately cancelled. Remember my office remains open to help seniors with resources and services, don’t hesitate to call us (562) 860-5050.”
Later that day at 17:26 UTC, Sánchez shared two links without additional commentary: “https://t.co/PCSyWFzS6E https://t.co/v9ib0eYxti”.
At 19:14 UTC on the same day, she addressed state politics by commenting on a recent ballot measure result: “Prop 50’s passing sends a clear message: California will keep fighting Republican schemes to rig our elections and our economy for Trump and his billionaire friends.”
Linda Sánchez was born in Orange, California in 1969 and currently resides in Whittier. She holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley (BA) and the University of California, Los Angeles (JD). Since succeeding Steve Horn in Congress more than two decades ago, Sánchez has maintained an active presence both locally and nationally as part of her ongoing legislative work.
