Rep. Linda Sánchez, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 38th district since 2003, recently shared several posts on her social media platform reflecting on national policy and holiday observances.
On April 2, 2026, Sánchez criticized former President Donald Trump’s spending priorities in a post stating, “Trump says this, then goes to Congress to ask for $200 billion for a pointless war rather than investing in bringing prices down at home. That’s where his priorities lie, and working families are paying the price.”
Turning to religious observances later that week, Sánchez posted on April 3: “On Good Friday, we reflect on sacrifice, compassion, and the power of faith. Wishing comfort and peace to all who are observing across Southern California.”
On Easter Sunday, April 5, she wrote: “Happy Easter! Wishing you and your family peace, joy, and a renewed sense of hope.”
Sánchez has been active in Congress for over two decades after succeeding Steve Horn in 2003. Born in Orange, California in 1969 and now residing in Whittier at age 54, she holds degrees from both the University of California, Berkeley (BA) and UCLA (JD).
