Rep. Linda Sánchez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 38th district, has been vocal on social media regarding pressing national issues. Her recent tweets address economic and immigration concerns.

On June 5, 2025, Rep. Sánchez expressed her disapproval of the current administration’s trade policies. She stated that “The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office is clear: American families are paying more as a result of the president’s disastrous tariffs.” She urged her Republican colleagues to intervene, stating they need to “stop enabling President Trump’s tariff tantrums.”

In another post dated June 7, 2025, she condemned the actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), reporting that “ICE violently detaining and injuring labor leader David Huerta for exercising his constitutional rights is an attack not just on him, but on every worker and immigrant.”

Later that day, Sánchez addressed ongoing ICE operations in Los Angeles by tweeting about the importance of knowing one’s legal rights regardless of immigration status. She emphasized this point by stating “I’m closely monitoring the ICE raids in LA. Reminder: EVERYONE in the United States has rights, no matter their immigration status.” She encouraged individuals to “#KnowYourRights and assert them.”

Linda Sánchez was born in Orange, California in 1969 and has represented California’s 38th District since succeeding Steve Horn in 2003. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA and earned a JD from UCLA.
