Rep. Linda Sánchez, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 38th district since 2003, recently posted a series of tweets criticizing former President Donald Trump and his policies, focusing on election integrity, tariffs, and government spending.
On April 8, 2026, Sánchez stated: “I’m proud we stood up for voters and protected our democracy. The facts is our elections are secure. Trump has even admitted Republicans can’t win without rigging the system. That says it all. Trump is desperately trying to hold onto power by silencing voters. We won’t let him.”
In another tweet dated April 10, 2026, she wrote: “Trump’s tariffs aren’t just raising prices, they’re also rife with corruption. A foreign company “donates” $37M in steel for his ballroom and gets a tariff exemption. America First isn’t taking bribes while calling U.S. steel garbage and screwing over American steelworkers.”
Later that same day, Sánchez added: “Americans already struggling to get by are now paying twice for Trump’s reckless war. Billions of your tax dollars are being wasted overseas while you pay higher prices here at home.”
Sánchez was born in Orange, California in 1969 and currently resides in Whittier. She holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley (1991) and a JD from UCLA (1995). She succeeded Steve Horn in Congress in 2003.
