Rep. Linda Sánchez, who has represented California’s 38th district in the U.S. Congress since 2003, recently highlighted her local engagement and legislative priorities through a series of posts on social media.
On February 2, 2026, Sánchez posted about hosting an event at Glen A. Wilson High School: “Proud to host my 3rd Congressional App Challenge at Glen A. Wilson HS and cut the ribbon on their newly renovated Media Center, made possible by $850K in federal funding I secured.
Congrats to everyone who participated, and our winners, Vivian, Warren, and Wilson, behind https://t.co/BHOPv655RF“.
Later that day, she commented on meetings with local entrepreneurs: “It was great to spend time in Downey talking with small business owners at Yoli’s Mexican Kitchen and The Green Olive.
These are local businesses doing everything right and they’re still feeling the pressure from rising costs. I carry these conversations with me as I fight for https://t.co/iUVZkooshC” (February 2, 2026).
The following day, Sánchez addressed immigration enforcement concerns: “ICE has done nothing but terrorize our communities. I stood with my Democratic colleagues outside ICE HQ to say we will not keep funding an agency this out of control.
Kristi Noem has got to go. https://t.co/DP7yPb0vhm” (February 3, 2026).
Sánchez is a longtime lawmaker born in Orange, California in 1969 and currently residing in Whittier. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991 before earning her JD from UCLA in 1995.
