Sánchez has served as representative since 2003 after succeeding Steve Horn in California’s 38th district. She was born in Orange, California in 1969 and currently resides in Whittier at age 54. Her academic background includes a BA from the University of California, Berkeley (1991) and a JD from UCLA (1995).
