Rep. Linda Sánchez, who has represented California’s 38th district in the U.S. Congress since 2003, recently shared personal reflections and updates on her public activities through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.
On May 10, Sánchez addressed those experiencing Mother’s Day without their mothers, writing, “And to those without their mother, I lost my mom last year. I miss her every single day. Sending extra love to everyone who’s also missing their mother today.”
The following day, May 11, she commented on ongoing legal matters involving former President Donald Trump: “President Trump never gets tired of losing in court”.
Later that same day, Sánchez highlighted her participation at a local event focused on water conservation: “Had a great time attending the @WRDsocal’s Groundwater Festival! From educational booths to family activities, this event highlighted why protecting our water resources matters for future generations.”
Sánchez was born in Orange, California in 1969 and currently resides in Whittier. She holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley (1991) and a JD from UCLA (1995). Her long tenure in Congress began when she succeeded Steve Horn in 2003.
