On July 8, 2023, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (CA-38) issued the following statement after Congresswoman Grace Napolitano of California announced she would not seek another term in the House of Representatives:

“For nearly four decades, Congresswoman Grace Napolitano has been a trusted leader and champion for the people of Southern California. From protecting conservation lands to ensuring every Californian has access to clean drinking water, her impact in our state will live on for generations to come.

“I want to thank Congresswoman Napolitano for her years of service, advocacy, and leadership. I wish her and her family all the best in their next chapter.
