On February 5, 2025, Rep. Sánchez commended her colleagues from the Ways and Means Committee for their efforts to hold Elon Musk accountable for his alleged takeover of the Treasury Department. She emphasized that attempts to silence them with derogatory terms would not succeed and stressed that "the American people deserve answers." Later that day, Sánchez highlighted what she described as illegal actions by Musk aimed at undermining federal agencies and attacking their employees.
