Later that day, Sánchez expressed her disapproval of the treatment of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a legal resident, who was reportedly sent to prison in El Salvador under the Trump administration. In a strongly worded post, Sánchez described the situation as "sickening" and highlighted the Supreme Court's order for Garcia's return, which had not yet been fulfilled. She emphasized the broader implications of this action, noting, "If they can do this to him, they can do it to anyone."
