In her tweet from November 19, she remarked: "It’s troubling to see our future House colleague singled out by discriminatory legislation before she’s sworn in." Sánchez expressed anticipation in working with Congresswoman-elect Sarah McBride on important issues for working- and middle-class families.
On November 20, Rep. Sánchez participated in commemorating Transgender Day of Remembrance alongside congressional colleagues and the Equality Caucus.
