Rep. Linda Sánchez, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 38th district, has recently expressed her views on various pressing issues through a series of tweets. Born in Orange, California in 1969 and currently residing in Whittier, Sánchez has been serving since 2003 after succeeding Steve Horn. She holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and UCLA.

On November 19, 2024, Rep. Sánchez called for transparency regarding an investigation involving Matt Gaetz. She stated: "We’re calling on the Ethics Committee to release the Gaetz report." Sánchez emphasized that "Someone seeking to become the nation’s top law enforcement officer shouldn’t have anything to hide," underscoring her demand for truthfulness.

Later that day, she addressed concerns about discriminatory legislation affecting a future House colleague. In her tweet from November 19, she remarked: "It’s troubling to see our future House colleague singled out by discriminatory legislation before she’s sworn in." Sánchez expressed anticipation in working with Congresswoman-elect Sarah McBride on important issues for working- and middle-class families.

On November 20, Rep. Sánchez participated in commemorating Transgender Day of Remembrance alongside congressional colleagues and the Equality Caucus. She tweeted: "On #TransgenderDayofRemembrance, I stand with my colleagues in Congress & the @EqualityCaucus to honor the lives of transgender individuals lost to violence this year." Her message highlighted ongoing advocacy for transgender rights.
